Sales – Other operations #

Adjusting sales order priority #

The Item scheduling system works in real time on the basis of first come, first served. This means that as sales orders are activated they are allocated the next available Items. The priority order can be changed by selecting ‘Other operations’ from the Sales main page and clicking ‘Adjust Sales Order Priority’.

Sales orders can be rescheduled based on promise date, sales order number, activation date or manually by a specified order.

Usually the priority order of sales order numbers is the same as the activation order, but if you have changed and reactivated sales orders, sales orders with smaller order numbers may have been activated later.

Include only those lines whose mutual order you want to change. Press [Add lines] on the ‘Adjust Sales Order Priority’ page. This opens a list of all open sales order lines. Set criteria on the top of the page and press [Retrieve]. Tick the sales order lines to be added to the list that is to be reprioritised. If there are unnecessary sales order lines on the list, tick those to be removed and press [Delete Selected]. Note that sales orders will not be deleted from the system.

Now define whether the lines will be rearranged according to promise date, activation date or sales order number. Select the appropriate option and press [Sort]. The order can also be defined manually by changing the consecutive numbers on the Priority-column. Enter the new order (where 1 means highest priority) and press [Sort].

Press [Run] and the allocation of purchase and manufactured Items will be rearranged according to the new priority.
